Tilt, up and down tilt
We have three different methods to activate the tilting of the tail lifts in operation.
The three different ways are:
Hydraulic
By means of a pressure exchanger (= additional cylinder), the oil is displaced from the lifting cylinder to the closing cylinder or vice versa. The tilting operation is initiated by the pressure difference between the cylinders.
Electric
By means of angle sensors and/or a tilt angle switch, it is determined when the lift is in the correct position. Then, the necessary valves are opened by means of an electrical signal to activate the tilting operation.
Mechanical
In the case of mechanical tilting, we often refer to swing arms. These force the platform into a tilted position by changing the arm distance.
