Outdoor control
An external control panel is the central point for operating the tail lift. With this control, all functions of the tail lift can be safely performed, such as extending and retracting, lifting and lowering, opening and closing, etc.
The standard external control panel is equipped with a two-hand safety operation with a selector switch, which switches between the external control and the additional control. In closed vans and other vehicles with limited chassis height, the loading platform is usually operated with an externally integrated control panel in the body wall.
Foot control
A foot control for a tail lift is an operating system used to control the tail lift using feet instead of hands and consists of a two-button control. This is convenient as it allows the driver to operate the tail lift while keeping their hands free for other tasks, such as holding goods or stabilizing the load.
On the platform, 2 or more buttons are installed which can be operated by foot. By operating the correct combination, the platform will lift or lower. When one of the buttons is released, the movement will stop. The driver is required to operate the buttons with both feet. This is to prevent limbs from becoming trapped during lifting.
Additional control
It is often recommended to use the foot control as an additional control, along with a selector switch on the control panel of the external control.

Manual control or remote control
The hand control is available in 2- and 3-button versions and has the same functionality as the foot control. It is used to raise and lower the tail lift, with the third button as a safety function.
Inside control
The inside control has only the functions for lifting and lowering just like the manual control. It prevents entrapment between the platform and the rear frame by operating only from the bucket.
Radio remote controls
These controls allow the tail lift to be operated from various locations.
