Hardness measurement

Hardness measurement of plastic/rubber hardness

At HACO Tail Lift Parts, we make extensive use of plastic and rubber products. This is applied to various parts of our equipment.

Each plastic/rubber product has its own hardness and properties. The hardness of each product varies depending on its function. For example, consider a dust cover, which has low soft hardness to ensure flexibility. However, when you look at the foot button, it is harder because it receives more load on the rubber and is more wear-resistant.

The hardness of a foot button is measured using a Shore meter (A). It is important that the rubber is neither too hard nor too soft and that it always returns to its original position and is wear-resistant.

Roughness measurement

Did you know that the roughness of a surface, such as on tail lifts, affects the life of the product? Smooth surfaces are less susceptible to external influences that cause corrosion, and are more wear-resistant. With our roughness measurements, we determine the state of the surface so that you can extend the life of your tail lift if necessary. Find out more here!

Proper maintenance is important! Ever thought that your pump needs to undergo a cleanliness test? Read on to find out how.

What is layer thickness?

Properly functioning machines require top-quality parts, especially if they are constantly exposed to external elements. Layer thickness measurement ensures the quality of chromed surfaces. Find out how it works here!
